Pickleman’s Gourmet Café will open its first Arizona location this fall at Arrowhead Towne Center, 7700 W. Arrowhead Towne Center Drive, Suite 2202.
The café will be the chain’s 36th location nationwide, its first in Arizona and its first inside a shopping center. It is the first of five Arizona locations planned under franchise owners Matt Frick and Joey Liekweg.
“We’re thrilled to bring Pickleman’s to Glendale,” Frick and Liekweg said in a joint statement. “The Arrowhead Towne Center location allows us to introduce the brand to a broader, high-traffic audience. Our goal is to make this your new lunch or dinner spot, serving thin-crust pizza, salads, soups and macaroni bowls — fast, fresh and full of flavor.”
Arrowhead Towne Center General Manager Gabrielle Ochoa said the café is a welcome addition to the shopping center.
“Their high-quality ingredients, modern vibe and commitment to community align with our vision for offering unique and delicious dining experiences to our shoppers,” Ochoa said.
Founded in 2005, Pickleman’s focuses on clean ingredients and a fast-casual menu that includes sandwiches, salads, soups and pizzas. The company is known for its dill pickle chips and plans to launch a private-label chip line later this year, starting with a pickle flavor.
The Glendale location marks Pickleman’s entrance into its seventh state and continues the company’s national expansion.
“Seeing Pickleman’s expand into Arizona — and into a shopping center for the first time — is a milestone for us as we approach our 20-year anniversary,” Founder Doug Stritzel said. “Our long-term vision has always been to become a legacy brand, and this is a step toward that goal.”
The Glendale store is expected to open in late fall or early winter. The company plans to open eight to 10 more locations nationwide in the next year.
